Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, and iPod Touch) which help identify your web browser. We will use information collected by web beacons to improve the quality of our website and its content over time and track user trends, such as how people search.
Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to display the Google Ads on our site. Subject to any applicable laws, rules and regulations, we will have the sole and exclusive right to use all data collected from our use of the DoubleClick DART cookie for any purpose related to our business on an as-needed basis. What are Cookies?
A cookie is a text file which contains numbers, letters, and special characters. The two types are a persistent cookie and a session cookie. A persistent cookie enters through your web browser into the cookie folder on your computer’s hard drive. It stays in that cookie folder, which is used by your Web browser, after you close your browser (e. g. Mozilla Firefox 3.6.6, Windows Internet Explorer 8, and Apple Safari 4). A session cookie disappears after you close the browser. DoubleClick’s ad-serving and paid search listing (“DART Search”) products also use the the DART cookie. The DART cookie is a persistent cookie and consists of the name of the domain (ad.doubleclick.net), the cookie life, and a value. DoubleClick’s DART technology generates a unique string of characters for the “value” portion of the cookie.
Why is the DoubleClick Cookie on my computer?
If there is a DoubleClick cookie in your cookies folder, it is most likely a DART cookie. The DoubleClick DART cookie helps businesses learn how well their Internet advertising campaigns or paid search listings perform. Our website uses the DoubleClick’s DART technology to deliver our advertisements and/or manage our paid search listings. DoubleClick’s DART products set or recognize a persistent cookie when ads are displayed or a paid listing is selected. A DART cookie give us information including the Number of Unique Users the Google Ads were displayed to, How Many Users clicked on our Google Ads or Paid Listings, and which Google Ads or Paid Listings they clicked on.
What are Web Beacons?
Web Beacons are lines of HTML code that are used in web pages. They are called Clear GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) or Pixel Tags. Web Beacons are used with cookies. DoubleClick uses Web Beacons to advertise its products and/or services online, including ad serving and paid search listings (“DART Search”).
