One Tree Hill is set
in a fictional town
One Tree Hill is filmed in North Carolina. Coach Whitey offers Lucas a spot on the team. Nathan and Lucas meet to play basketball one-on-one. Lucas falls for Nathan’s girlfriend, Peyton.
Nathan plans revenge to get Lucas off the team. Haley tries to stop him by tutoring Nathan. Peyton does a comic strip for Thud Magazine. Peyton breaks up with Nathan. Dan takes part in a father-son basketball game.
Dan and Deb meet for dinner with Keith and Karen. Brooke finds a note written for Nathan. Haley goes on a date with Nathan. Brooke saves Peyton after being drugged at the party.
Karen leaves for cooking school to Italy. Lucas goes out with Brooke. Nathan collapses during the game after taking performance enhancers. Deb plans an open mic night at Karen’s Cafe.
Peyton’s dad, Larry comes back to town. Keith and Luke get injured in a car accident. Lucas is recovering in the hospital. Dan and Deb are getting divorced. Lucas breaks up with Brooke, but doesn’t tell her about Peyton.
Jake asks Peyton to look after his daughter, Jenny. The Tree Hill Ravens take part in a basketball tournament against the Bear Creek Warriors. Jake reunites with Nicki, but turns his back on her for betrayal.
Brooke fakes a pregnancy. Keith plans to leave town. Coach Whitey leaves for eye surgery. Dan becomes the new coach. Peyton helps Jake leave with his baby to get away from his ex, Nicki.
