Law TV Shows include The People’s Court, Judge Judy, and Divorce Court. They present real cases in court. The people are involved in a lawsuit. A judge has the right to solve legal disputes between parties.



A court is composed of a minimum of three parties: the plaintiff, the defendant, and the judge. The plaintiff is the person suing and the defendant is the one accused of an offence.



The judge finds out the facts, determines the related laws, and uses legal means to solve the case. The parties give testimony during the court hearing. The judge’s decision related to the case is called a verdict.



The parties can settle their case before the court hearing. An accused or the defendant has the right to a lawyer. Its many types range from trial and civil law courts to family and divorce courts.
