Americas Top Model begins with 10-14 contestants
Americas Top Model is a reality television show where women compete for the title of Top Model. They get a chance to start their career in the modelling industry.
The show was created and is hosted by a former model Tyra Banks. She also serves as a head judge and executive producer of the show. Every season has 9-13 episodes and begins with 10-14 contestants.
Each episode of Top Model covers roughly a week in real time. The show features a fashion challenge, a photo shoot, and a critique of each contestant by a panel of judges.

Contestants deal with the press in interviews, sell a commercial product, or appear in a runway show. An episode begins with contestants getting training in runway walking and improvisational acting.
The winner receives clothing, a night out, or an advantage at the next photo shoot. The contestants get makeovers after the first or second elimination in the finals.
At the end of every episode each contestant’s photo or commercial is used for elimination. After all photos are evaluated the contestants leave the room.
During elimination Tyra hands out photos of contestants who still remain on the show. The last two contestants who didn’t get their photos are critiqued by Tyra and one is eliminated.
